District 9 – Nimba County: A Better Life

About District 9

A District Rich in Culture, Resilience, and Diversity

District 9 is a district where the traditions of the Mano (Man), Gio (Dan), Gbi, and other tribal groups blend into a shared identity of strength and perseverance.

It is also one of the nine electoral districts in Nimba County, Republic of Liberia — and by far the largest in landmass. Comprising five administrative districts — Mehnsonnoh, Zahnla, Blinlon, Doe, and Gbi-Doru — District 9 is a region defined by natural beauty, cultural richness, and extraordinary potential.
