Stories of impact and transformation from our partnership initiatives

Powering Better Health in District 9

We were honored to host the leadership of the Korle-Bu Neuroscience Foundation to thank them for their extraordinary support to District 9. Their team has provided over 200 boxes of essential medical supplies, strengthening all 15 clinics and health centers across our district. This isn’t charity — it’s a life-saving partnership already improving care for our people. We look forward to welcoming them to District 9 soon to see the impact firsthand and continue building a deeper, strategic collaboration.

— Thank you, Korle-Bu Neuroscience Foundation. Together, we’re building a healthier District 9.

Teach For Liberia – Building Future Leaders in District 9

Teach For Liberia is reshaping education in District 9 by deploying trained fellows, strengthening school leadership, and launching innovative programs that help our students think boldly, solve problems, and lead with confidence. Their work in Graie and Zekepa—from STRONGirls to design-thinking clubs to youth leadership development—is already creating real impact in our classrooms and communities. We’re proud of this growing partnership and the brighter future it’s building for our students.

How to Partner

We believe transformation is only possible when everyone plays a part. Whether you are a foundation, NGO, investor, or citizen, there is a place for you in the District 9 ecosystem.

Philanthropy

Sponsor a Pillar

Partner with us to fund specific initiatives within our six pillars — from building bridges and solarizing clinics to supporting schools and women’s cooperatives. Your philanthropy can directly transform lives while upholding full transparency and accountability.

Organizations & NGOs

Co-Design & Scale Programs

Bring your expertise and proven models to District 9, a ready ecosystem for scale. Whether in health, education, agriculture, or empowerment, we welcome partnerships that strengthen systems and expand impact at the community level.

Investors

Social Enterprise Opportunities

District 9 is poised to become Liberia’s leading rural agro-economic hub. We invite impact investors to co-create ventures in agriculture processing, clean energy, infrastructure, and digital inclusion — unlocking both returns and social impact.

Citizens & Diaspora

Donate, Volunteer, Advocate

Every citizen has a role to play. Join us by volunteering your skills, supporting local initiatives, or contributing financially directly to a project by procuring materials. For our diaspora community, your engagement is a bridge between home and opportunity, fueling the transformation of District 9.

Our Commitment to Transparency

At District 9, we believe transparency is not just a principle — it is the foundation of how we build trust with partners and deliver real impact. Every partnership follows a clear, step-by-step process that ensures accountability, community ownership, and measurable results.

1

Initiate & Engage

We begin with honest conversations — listening to partners, learning their mission, and exploring areas of shared alignment. At this stage, we also introduce District 9’s Better Life Framework, which anchors all our work.

2

Co-Design Solutions

We do not impose solutions. Instead, we work hand-in-hand with partners and communities to design programs that respond directly to District 9’s priorities while ensuring sustainability and scalability.

3

Formalize Partnership

Transparency is formalized through a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) or similar agreement. This document clearly defines roles, responsibilities, timelines, and accountability mechanisms, ensuring clarity from the outset.

4

Implement & Pilot

Partnerships are rolled out with our Delivery Unit and community structures. Many initiatives start as pilots — allowing us to refine approaches, build local ownership, and prepare for scale.

5

Monitor, Report & Learn

We commit to open reporting. Partners receive regular updates with financial data, progress metrics, and impact stories. Lessons learned are integrated back into programs to strengthen effectiveness over time.

6

Scale & Sustain

Successful pilots are scaled across the district and woven into the District 9 ecosystem. This ensures programs move from one-off interventions to lasting, systemic change.
